Short version below. Plain English the whole way. Written by a person, not a legal team, because that is who is running this.
Your questions, answers, and journal entries are stored privately so you can look them up later. They are never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train an AI model. Answers are generated by Claude (Anthropic), grounded in public Bible translations and curated study resources. You can delete your account and everything tied to it at any time.
If you ask a question or paste a passage, we store the question and the answer so you can find it again in your journal. If you save a study, we keep that too. If you sign in, we store your email address and the display name you choose. That is the whole list.
Your data stays on the servers that power Ask Seek Abide and is used only to deliver the tool to you: to show you your past studies, to let you sign in, and to keep usage limits fair across our free tier. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not show ads on this site at all.
Each answer is generated by Claude, a large language model built by Anthropic. When you ask a question, we send it to Claude through Anthropic's API along with a custom prompt and curated context: public-domain Bible translations, historical and cultural background notes, lexicon entries for relevant Hebrew or Greek words, and the Kingdom-of-God lens that shapes this tool.
Anthropic does not use API requests to train Claude by default, and Ask Seek Abide has not opted into any data-sharing program. Your questions are not used to train any AI model.
A few honest caveats: AI can be wrong. Ask Seek Abide is a study companion, not an oracle. Always read the passage for yourself, and weigh what you receive in conversation with Scripture, your community, and the Spirit who is already teaching you.
We use cookies only for what is necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. No third-party tracking pixels, no advertising trackers, no data brokers. If we ever add analytics, it will be privacy-respecting (something like Plausible or self-hosted), and we'll update this page.
You can delete any individual journal entry from your journal. You can delete your entire account, and everything tied to it, from the Account page. Deletion is permanent and complete: we don't keep shadow copies, we don't archive your questions, the data is gone.
Ask Seek Abide is built by Ashley Sheleretis, a Bible teacher of twenty years based at Mountain View Fellowship in Heber City, Utah. The whole thing is one person plus a small set of tools, not a company. If you have a question about your data, or anything else, email me directly.
